We are proud to announce the addition of Tom Dorwart to our sales team and the promotion of Mark Miller from Outside Parts Sales Representative to Director of Customer Sales.

Tom, a native of Manheim, has over 25 years of sales and management experience. Bill Zeamer, Vice President, had this to say about Tom:

“Tom brings a passion to take care of the customer by acting as a true business consultant to address the demands of a fast moving, and ever changing marketplace.  Tom’s track record of success complements our current staff and the brands we represent. Tom will be working as a trailer specialist in the Cheetah, Evans, and Mac trailer lines. His vast sales experience will help secure new business in Philadelphia, Delaware and NY markets.”

We had a chance to sit and get to know Tom a little bit better. Here is a glimpse of our discussion:

Walk us through your journey to Utility Keystone Trailer Sales.

“I worked for Ecolab for 29 years… 2 years in the Pest Elimination division in Tucson, Az. 12 years as a territory manager in Chambersburg Pa, 12 years as a distributor sales development manager, and 3 years as a district manager. I got here when I received a call from Tim Proffitt and Bill Zeamer in December 2016 about a sales position with Utility Keystone and the opportunity to join the team. After my wife and I weighed our options it was clear it was time to make a change for the better!”

What are you most excited about with your new position?

“I am most excited about learning a new industry, and being a part of a new team, and I am looking forward to helping Utility Keystone grow to new heights!”

What is one word to describe Tom Dorwart? And why?

“Competitive… I like to win and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment when I/we cross the finish line.”

Ok, time to get a little less serious. What is your spirit animal? And why?

“What is a spirit animal? Ha. Only joking. Let me think. You caught me off guard with that one. I’d say an eagle. How can it not be? They are majestic.”

They are majestic. Welcome to the team, Tom. We are thrilled to have your experience on staff.

Tom isn’t the only one transitioning to a new role.

Mark Miller has been a part of the Utility Keystone Trailer Sales family for 14 years starting out as a Technician, then, serving as an Outside Parts Sales Representative for our parts department.

Mark has accepted a promotion to Director of Customer Sales. His new role will focus on parts, service, and warranty work, as well as funneling opportunities to new and used sales, and PennStro Leasing.

Our parts department manager, Justin Barbush, had this to say about Mark

“Mark has always been a high producer for our company.  He was an excellent trailer mechanic and transitioned into an excellent parts salesman. We are very excited for him to use his knowledge and experience to fill his new position of director of outside sales.

It’s an exciting opportunity for both him and our company as we strategically look to grow our service and parts business.”

We spoke to Mark about his new position to get his thoughts:

What are you most excited about in your new role?

“Working with other departments within UKTS that I have not worked with in the past, and sharing ideas with our other departments to help each other grow.”

What challenges do you think you will face in this new role? And how do you see yourself overcoming those challenges?

“Not having enough time in the day to communicate all the services we offer.

By continuing to prioritize my days, meeting our existing customer’s needs, and identifying new leads, I am confident this transition will be a smooth one.”

What is your favorite thing about working at Utility Keystone Trailer Sales?

“The people. Upper management has their team’s best interest in mind always. By doing so we have a great staff that is aligned to make UKTS great. Not again, because we already are.”

I asked Tom so, I have to ask you. What is your spirit animal?

“Hmm… [long pause] Probably a goat.”

A goat?

“Yeah. G-O-A-T, it’s the Greatest Of All Time.”

That Mark, he’s a clever one. Congratulations on your promotion Mark.
