Ed Russell Jr.
Mobile Trailer Technician
My customers want their trailers to move and keep moving without any downtime – That’s what I do.
How I help my customers
I fix what is broken, ensuring my customer’s semi-trailers are properly maintained, so the drivers and other drivers and families on the road with them are safe.
I check everything – ensure the brakes work, the landing legs crank properly, no structural damage, the tires are safe, and more. I am confident my repairs will last and get the drivers to their destination.
What I love most about what I do.
I’m a hands-on guy who loves fixing things. Fixing a difficult repair that you’ve been working on for some time and seeing the final result is very satisfying.
And I enjoy working with the drivers; they know I’m always there for them and can come to me for help. I like sharing what I learned with others. It makes us all the better at what we do.
How I got into this role.
I was initially a welder and fiberglass fabricator and later had an opportunity to weld on liftgates.
When talking with a road tech from Utility, I realized Utility could be a good fit for me. I can tell you I like the people here, and I’m glad I made the move to Utility.
What I do in my spare time
I’m a family man. And I spend most of my time hanging out with kids.
